XHTTP client setup with OneXray

XHTTP is an Xray transport, not a replacement for VLESS or VMess. A label such as VLESS | XHTTP | TLS describes three different layers. OneXray imports the server’s complete transport settings rather than choosing them from a universal preset.

Ask for the complete transport configuration

In addition to protocol credentials and address/port, obtain:

  • The XHTTP host and path.
  • The required mode and any extra settings.
  • TLS or REALITY parameters, including the server name.
  • Any separate download-path parameters required by the provider.

Do not infer these from a country label or copy a path from another server. A CDN hostname, connection address and TLS server name can serve different roles.

Import without losing settings

Open Servers → Add server and import the provider’s supported share link or JSON file. For manual JSON, use the outbound document envelope with exactly one node, streamSettings.network set to xhttp, and the provider’s xhttpSettings.

Use full JSON if the provider’s advanced transport parameters cannot be represented by its share link. Preserve extra as supplied; do not flatten it into invented root fields. The existing TLS and REALITY templates explain the other connection layers but are not ready-made XHTTP configurations.

After import, check that the server row reports XHTTP, select it on Connect, and test the destination you need. Installing a newer client cannot repair a server configured for a different transport.

If XHTTP does not connect

Compare host, path, mode, security and extra with the provider’s original settings. Confirm that any intermediary service supports the supplied connection design. Do not replace XHTTP with WebSocket or add Vision merely because a generic tutorial does so.
